moving confirmed

Well we got the word today finally after waiting since june that we are moving to germany, we will be packing out, etc in the middle of october. Thank god we got a new notebook before husband went to his temp assignment. At least i will be able to semi-keep up with everything as long as i can find a wi-fi spot. But the good thing is we will get there in time for Christmas which is huge in Germany and the kids will get to see snow. Anyhow, just letting everyone know I will be sporadic in my activity but i am still here, Carole aka Grace.   ;D :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope the move goes well.  I’ve never been to Germany but I’ve heard rave reviews from other people who’ve lived there.

its really nice that is where we started out back in 1992 and i had my son there , i will be able to show him where he was born ,etc, now he will go to high school and graduate there, not many military brats can say that. lol. the horses are gorgeous, the chocolate is awesome, and Christmas there cant be beat!!!

Oh Germany is one of my favorites! I hope your move goes well.

Good luck with everything!  I went to Germany for a week or so one summer during college and really enjoyed it.  Of course, that was in the summer .  I don’t do well with cold weather, but it’d be neat to see a German Christmas.

if you love the christmas season you would be in heaven over there , they really get into it, and when we were there , the part we are going back to, we only got a small amount of snow, it did get cold, but it will be nice to be out of hurricane and tornado threats for a while. lol.
I will have to take a bunch of pics of all their decorating and stuff and post them for everyone when i get settled. and the food is OMG yum-my!!!

Wow, if you have to move, sounds like you got the place to go! I’m so envious… I’ve wanted to go to Germany for years, and especially since I started college and have been studying the language and culture more. Plus, I’m an absolute Christmas fanatic; I would love to visit over Christmas some year!

Good luck with the move!

well come on over. lol. once i get there and find a house etc. you would love it!!! we were only there for 2 yrs the first time so we didnt get to go see much, the kids are older now so we will go travel around etc. visit all the castles and go on another cruise up the Rhine river. I am excited and anxious at the same time as we have to sell our house here, the market sucks right now, but praying for a quick sale.
pm me if you want i can tell you all kinds of stuff from the area we will be at is the same we were at before so i know my way around etc.

WE HAVE OUR ORDERS AND HOPEFULLY THE MOVERS/PACKERS WILL BE HERE THE OCT15TH - 17TH AND AFTER THAT I WILL BE ON SPORADICALLY DUE TO LIVING IN MOTEL TYPE ACCOMMODATIONS.
WE WILL BE LEAVING FLORIDA AROUND OCT 23RD AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY NOV 19TH FOR GERMANY, IN BETWEEN WE WILL BE STAYING WITH FAMILY IN MAINE.
I WILL TRY TO KEEP UP WITH EVERYTHING ON THE LAPTOP , AS LONG AS I CAN FIND A WI FI HOT SPOT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO …

ok my stuff is all packed up and gone we will be on the road this week and hopefully i can get back to racing next weekend if i can get wifi in maine, see you soon, Carole aka Grace
