Lack of Come from Behind race winners

Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of the races have been won by the horses that are on the lead at the 2f marker. I looked at the races that were run yesterday and found that of the 50 races that were run 36 of the winners were on the lead at the 2f marker. There were 9 who were in second at the first call and won the race, 3 who were 3rd and one each who were 4th and 5th at the 2f marker call. That meant that if you were further back than 5th at the first marker you were unlikely to win. Is this an anomaly or should I look at more races to get a better feel for the "Front End Speed "bias that all the tracks are showing??

Most likely it’s that the “closers” in the game use up all their energy before they get to the stretch, and then have nothing to close with.  (Thus they end up starting 7th, moving up to 3rd, and then fading again, for example.)

Smylie - I tend to find when my ‘come from behind’ horses win, their running line is alot of the time 1-1-1-1 etc or 3-3-2-2-1

Most of the time they seem to be very close in the run  ???

I’ve noticed that in many races, especially the short ones, that how they break is how they finish. And whatever horse comes out last stays there in the majority of races.  One of the reasons i would never give instructions to hang back.  There is not as much positioning movement in races as there once was which is a pity but as long as the races give everyone a fair chance It’s not a problem.
