Oh yes - I know everyone has MISSED me. I do log on every week or so - mostly to check my ponies and enter a race or two.
Over the last 4 months I’ve been sick. Like extremely sick. I’ve seen every doctor that is imaginable, had every test that there is to run and we could still not find a damn thing - until last month. The last test that we could have possibly ran on me. It was a pregnancy test and it was positive. Makes perfect sense now - although we were dumb founded in the beginning.
I’ve always been told I can’t have children so we didn’t even think I could be pregnant. So now I have found out I’m 16 weeks pregnant (explains the weight gain - THANK GOD - not happy about getting fat, but happy that we found out what it was!).
So that’s why I’ve been MIA for awhile. I’ve only been able to sleep and throw up. And get to work when I was feeling well, but usually couldn’t even get to Avis.
Later this month we found out if it’s a boy or girl and how many there are (they couldn’t tell on the ultrasound the last time and I come from a family of many multiples - knowing my luck there are 2 or 3 in there!).
And no - I had no idea that it was even possible (We were using protection and lots of it in multiple forms). So there you have it - you’re not guarenteed 100%!
Congrats! Hopefully this is a good surprise. Apparently unexpected pregnancies are going around, one of my co-workers just announced she was pregnant a couple weeks ago.
Congradulations I hope everything goes smoothly for the next several months! I know all of us here at Final Furlong would loved to see healthy baby pictures in 6-7(?) months!
Many congrats on your upcoming arrival, If you cant stop being sick , ask them if they can give you Phenergan, i had to take that when i was pg with my daughter as i couldnt keep anything down i actually lost weight for the first few months. (was sick the whole 9) if you take it the way they tell you its safe. (as safe as anything else these days.)
