So, here’s how alerts will work:
- the number of alerts will appear in the top right of the menu
- the colour/value of the number depends on the alert status: priority is new, then unread, then total
- 2 new alerts, 3 unread alerts, 10 total alerts: 2 in green (for new)
- 0 new alerts, 3 unread alerts, 10 total alerts: 3 in blue (for unread)
- 0 new alerts, 0 unread alerts, 10 total alerts: 10 in grey (for read)
- race entries will be read by default
- some alerts will require action by you to mark them as read (game alerts, etc)
Scratching:
- you’ll get an alert asking you to confirm whether you want to scratch, and listing whether you will/will not get a refund
- if you confirm, the horse will be scratched, the corresponding budget transaction deleted, and (if you get a refund) your budget will be updated
- the alert will also go away for that entry
Feel free to practice scratching - it won’t affect the current site so your horses will still be entered to race.
