I have currently added 18 ponies for auction. It begins June 9th.
There are still a few ponies I am considering adding, including a couple of broodmares who are due to foal out before the auction begins (but you know how those stubborn broods can be about foaling dates!)
No geldings have any reserves.
Most of the youngstock and 2YOs are only asking the sire’s stud fee for the reserve price.
Broodmares are between $10-15k reserves, and all are in foal at this point.
I wouldn’t consider any of these ponies to be “duds”, but some will require more time to mature & more effort to figure out. Most come from younger breeding lines. I have been gradually thinning out the herd prior to this point, so these are ponies that have made the first few rounds of cuts and are more difficult to part with… I am only trying to reduce the overall herd size in order to be more efficient, and to make room for new additions (mostly from our ever-growing breeding program).
BROODMARES:
DIXIE LOVE - 2006 dark bay mare, 15.0hh
Winner. Has produced 4 foals to date. Comes in foal to Cool Thief, due April 7th.
JE SUIS PREST - 2008 light chestnut mare, 15.0hh
Winner who ran well at 2, 3, and 4YO. Has produced 4 foals. Comes in foal to Dixie Time for 2017, due March 1st.
MORNING DEELITES - 2008 dark grey mare, 16.0hh
Winner. Has produced 4 foals, and all are dark grey. Comes in foal to Black Light II for 2017, due April 9th.
WAG THE DOG - 2006 strawberry roan mare, 15.0hh
Multi-winner. Has produced 3 foals to date. Still in foal for 2016 to Sleipnir, due July 1st, so will likely still be in foal through the end of the auction.
RACEHORSES:
O LORDY - 2011 blue roan gelding
Multi-winner. Consistent gelding who still has a good chance of earning you money.
SECRET SURPRISE - 2011 dark bay gelding
Multi-winner. Consistant gelding who likes finishing in the top two. He has done this for 50% of his 2016 starts so far.
IRISH MULDOON - 2012 bay stallion
Fantastic pedigree - has a gold rated sire and a HOTY dam. I have never been able to figure this fellow out.
A.P. STOLI - 2013 bay filly
I hate to part with this girl as she is the only filly I got from her dam, but I just can’t motivate her to run. Both granddams are gold rated, and she has an impressive dosage index.
AUNT PEARL - 2013 bay filly
3YO Rahy filly. Only five lifetime starts.
SHOOTFORTHESTARS - 2013 brown filly
3YO filly from a champion dam. She’s tiny, so she’s probably just immature, but since the sire is a mystery, there’s no way to tell for sure.
BROOKE VALENTINE - 2014 liver chestnut filly
Two year old filly from created lines. Has already broken her maiden and finished 4th in 3 starts.
CATALAN BAY - 2014 blue roan filly
Colorful 2YO homebred by Rock of Gibraltar - from his freshman crop. Dam was a multi-winner.
OH ARTEMIS - 2014 black filly
2YO homebred filly by Moonover Boy out of a silver-rated dam. 1/2 to G1 stakes winner, Chicago’s Demon. Has not started yet as she appears immature.
PEEKUNDERCOVERS - 2014 dark grey filly
Lovely dark grey 2YO homebred who has started once, but appears a little immature yet. She’s only the second foal from her dam, so it’s hard to say.
STAR OF LAKSHMI - 2014 light bay colt
Tall 2YO homebred Octagonal colt who appears mature & ready to run. He’s had two starts, both dirt, but hasn’t tried turf yet. He’s 1/2 to SW Ch. Undercover Girl and SW Ch. Cover Story.
YEARLINGS:
DON’T GO AWAY - 2015 brown colt
Yearling Mr. Townsend colt out of a silver-rated dam.
RINGO STARR - 2015 black colt
Yearling homebred Ring Of Fire colt.
ROCKEFELLER - 2015 dark bay colt
Homebred yearling Rock of Gibraltar colt out of a multi-winner SC mare.
Hopefully you all see something you like! Stay tuned for new additions!
