Ivy Creek Farm Dispersal Sale

Hey guys.
Life has gotten a bit crazy lately, and I’ve very much neglected my ponies due to a lack of internet time to devote to them.  I’m slowly sorting through my herd and compiling a new method of managing them that should HOPEFULLY make things easier to manage race-wise.  But the other half of the problem has been my accumulation of & reluctance to let go of my ponies.  And so, sadly, I am forcing myself to let a large chunk of them find new homes.  I haven’t gotten to the stage of considering prices, but I figured I would start listing the ones I want to find new homes for…  They are all VERY lightly raced - with consistant training, they may just go on to do great things.

These are the ones I KNOW I need to part with.  I might also consider parting with some of the others, so if there’s one in particular and you offer a fair price, I will heavily consider it.  But keep in mind that all ponies NOT listed are ones more dear to me for various reasons, so are a couple I really want to keep.  It never hurts to try, though!

Please post here or PM me if you are interested in any of the following horses:
(I will consider ANY and ALL offers)

4 YEAR OLDS

[s]BRIDEZILLA, 2011 flea-bitten grey mare, created
Stakes winner. Entered to race Dec. 17, then will be eligible to retire to brood, or can continue running.  Has not run yet in 2015.
Asking: $15,000

HELLO GOODBYE, 2011 blue roan mare, created
Multi-winner. Tall and flashy mare. Eligible to retire to brood, or can continue to race. In 2015, from 4 non-stakes starts, she had 1 win and 2 places.  She’s a very consistant money-earner.
Asking: $10,000

JOVIAL CHIC, 2011 grey mare, created
Winner. Tall, pretty mare. Recently switched to steeplechasing, and she appears to love it.  From 2 starts in 2015, she won one and placed in the other. She is also eligible to retire to brood if you prefer.
Asking: $10,000

O LORDY, 2011 blue roan gelding, created
Has just been gelded.  Hopefully this will help him out. He has finished in the money over 50% of the time in his career - he placed in his only 2015 start.  Could be a good money-maker under the right guidance.
Asking: $10,000

SOFTSPOKEN, 2011 light grey mare, created
I just can’t figure this girl out. Maybe she just needs a change to steeplechasing, who knows.  She’ll be a nice, cheap gamble/project for her future owner.
Asking: $5,000

VA VA VOOM, 2011 brown mare, created
Another girl I just haven’t figured out yet, but I also have only given her 3 chances on the track.  She needs someone willing to give her a real shot.
Asking: $5,000

WESTPOINT, 2011 dark bay stallion, Point Given {S} x Gone West Grades {B}
Winner. Finished in the money 5 of 7 total starts. 1/2 to SW Ch. Rule the School and SP Ch. Manifest Destiny.
Asking: $10,000[/s]

All horses have been put up for sale, officially, with very low asking prices.  I will still consider any offers, if you prefer, but I think the prices are fair, as most of these ponies tend to bring paychecks.  Those that have not done so have been priced accordingly.

All of the previously listed horses have been sold, except for O LORDY, who is still available.

3 YEAR OLDS

[s]BROKEN SMILE, 2012 dapple grey mare, created
Has not run in 2015.  From 7 starts, she has 2 wins, 2 places, and 1 show.  Good 2 year old record means she might make a good future brood to cross with more late-blooming stallions, provided she continues racing well.
Asking: $15,000

OUTER BOUNDS, 2012 dark bay colt, Omaha {S} x Meadowlight {B}
Has only ran one race, which he won.  I have not raced this guy.  He has just been getting fat & happy in our pastures, which is a shame, because he appears to have plenty of potential.  I am willing to make a better deal to a known actively racing stable, PM me if interested.
Asking: $15,000[/s]

Adding another 3 year old:

EYEOFTHEBEHOLDER, 2012 mahogany bay filly, created
This stakes placed, super flashy filly has the minimum 10 wins under her belt to qualify for brood, but I think she still has a lot of go left in her if managed correctly.
Asking: $20,000

All have sold except the gelding, O LORDY - which I’m a bit surprised to see!  He’s a great fellow.

2 YEAR OLDS

[s]AS SLEW PROMISE, 2013 dark bay filly, (As You Wish {B} x Slew Copy)
Only started 1 time, early on in the season.  Appears to have matured since then.  Dad has produced several stakes level horses - winners and placers.  She is the first foal - and only daughter- of her dam, making her a bit of a gamble on that half.  I am only asking her sire’s current stud fee for her price, which I feel is quite a steal.
Asking: $25,000

BOWLEGGED, 2013 black colt, (Strider {S} x Rodeo Cowgirl (x Omaha {S})
Cute fellow with a good pedigree.  His sire, Strider, has already earned a silver-ranking from his first crop of 2YOs.  The dam is a 1/2 to a SW and two SP horses, and with Omaha as a sire, her pedigree is fairly solid.  He has not ever run.  Extra kudos if you can get him studified - he has a bit of a silly name, but it’s memorable for sure. It’s the “stride” a true “cowgirl” would take - to walk bowlegged.
Asking: $20,000

BRIOLETTE OF INDIA, 2013 flea-bitten grey filly, (Crystal Rainbow {S} x Riata)
Only started 1 time, early on in the season.  Appears to have matured since then.  With his oldest crop at the tail end of their 4YO season, her sire has earned a silver ranking, having produced a handful of multi-stakes winners.  This is the first foal - and only daughter - of the created mare, Riata, and is thus a bit of a gamble. She’s named after a legendary diamond.
Asking: $20,000

FOOL IN LOVE, 2013 red chestnut filly, created
Very dainty, created & unraced filly.  With my luck, she will go on to be a MSW - my createds tend to do better than my in-game bloodlines as of late.
Asking: $15,000[/s]

Do you still have Bowlegged? I’d love to have him.

All ponies have sold except poor O LORDY.  Perhaps he has found a permanent home at Ivy Creek, which is just fine with me.

Two more 2 year olds…

[s]I’M YOUR ESKIMO, 2013 flea-bitten grey colt, (I’m Your Angel {S} x Klondike Nights {S} (x Black Knight {S}))
This fellow has a very promising pedigree, and a flashy color to boot.  Dad is one of the better new sires in the game thus far, and on mom’s side, he is 1/2 to MSP Fire and Ice (x Ring of Fire), and all other siblings are winners.
Asking: $35,000

OH SO FAMOUS, 2013 black colt, (TakeMeToHollywood {B} x Oh So Sharp {S} (x Dr. Time {B})
Dad has produced several stakes quality offspring, and most of the rest are winners.  He is 1/2 to G1 stakes winner, Chicago’s Demon.
Asking: $25,000[/s]

Price has been reduced to $9,000 for O LORDY.

TIZSOSUDDEN, 2011 dark grey gelding, (Tiznow {B} x Sudden Success {S})
Tall, flashy guy who I never took the time to truly figure out.  Good pedigree, 1/2 to MSW Ch. What’s Your Story, SW Ch. Image of Success, SW Ch. Big Dawn, and SP Ch. Explosive Success.  All other siblings are winners.
Asking: $15,000

All of the previous horses have sold - except O LORDY, who I have decided to keep (and hey, he just brought home a $7k paycheck, which would have almost covered his $8k asking price).  I do plan to add more sale horses, but it will be more sporadic.  I have issues parting with these “virtual” ponies!

ADRIATIC SWAN - 2008 dark bay broodmare, 15.1hh (created)
Pretty, petite broodmare who was a multi-winner on the track.  Don’t let her size fool you - she held her own at the allowance level and even holds a speed record for 13f over dirt.  She has produced 3 foals to date - a 2YO colt by What’s Your Point, a yearling filly by Starzen, and a weanling by Gunningdownromance.  All three are currently retained by Ivy Creek.  She has never miscarried and appears to be quite the healthy producer.
Asking: $20,000

ADRIATIC SWAN’s price has been reduced to $15,000.

Okay, I’ll take her for another War Chant foal

All previous horses have been sold.  Now, a couple of new ones for you to consider…

SMILING BUBBLES - 2012 dark grey mare, (Whirlaway {S} x Poprocks and Coke {B} (x created))
Multi-winner.  Tall and flashy mare.  She appears to have hit her peak as a 2-3YO, but maybe I just haven’t figured out what she wants to do.  I purchased her because I LOVE her sire, but now that my other Whirlaway daughter (a 5YO) is hitting the track hard, there’s no reason to keep this girl who isn’t performing for me.  She has never tried hurdles - I did a jump trial today because her jockey “is getting to know her a little better”, and it said she “seems like a decent jumper”.  Perhaps that’s her ticket - does anyone want to take a gamble?  But peaking as a 2YO is definitely not a bad thing to have in your broodmare band, either…
Asking: $15,000

ADOMNAN - 2014 black colt, (ICh. Devil His Due x Riata (x created))
Unstarted 2YO.  He already stands at his sire’s mature height, but is expected to still grow a couple more inches thanks to his very tall dam.  He is the second foal from his dam, and is from his sire’s first crop.  I might very well be kicking myself if his sire’s crop starts to do well, as this is my only DHD foal to date…
Asking: SOLD

GIVENCHY - 2013 black colt, (ICh. Alley Cat {B} x The Cover Girl {B} (x created))
Unplaced 3YO.  Has not been run or worked out much as he still takes a long time to recover energy - my guess is that he’s still immature, which wouldn’t be surprising considering his sire.  He may very well mature into a decent runner - after all, he’s only started 3 times in his life.  He needs a home that is willing to be patient and involved.
Asking: $10,000

RIVER CROSSING - 2012 bay mare, (NCh. Moonover Boy {S} x Royal Magic {S} (x Magic Man {B})
Unplaced in six lifetime starts.  Steeplechaser.  Tall mare.  I haven’t been able to figure out what makes this girl tick.  She comes from a strong damline - all of her other 1/2 siblings to start are at either stakes winners or stakes placed.  She’s the only odd one out.  But maybe this family trait will pass on to her offspring once she joins your brood band, if you’re willing to take a gamble on her.
Asking: $10,000

And another:

PRESTIGE - 2012 black colt, (Cross Roads {S} x Magician’s Mystery {P} (x created))
I never, ever dreamed I would be parting with this royally bred colt…but I just can’t motivate him to live up to his pedigree.  He has started to finally bring in mini-paychecks, but he ought to be much more capable than that, given his very famous sire and very famous dam.  He is 1/2 to 4 MSWers…including the standing stallion, Magic Glory.  Despite this, Prestige somehow remains a maiden at 4.
SOLD to Starfish Stables

Hi Alyssa,

I have Magic Glory and am willing to take a chance on Prestige. If you set up the sale to me and I’ll buy him.

I have gone ahead & set up the sale.  Boy, am I ever going to regret selling him if he ever lives up to a fraction of his pedigree!  Best of luck with him.

All prices have been reduced, and they are now listed on the sale page as well.

-a multi-winning Whirlaway daughter who peaked at 2-3YO (but was lightly raced)
-a 3YO colt who hasn’t hit his prime yet and will probably earn back his price when he does
-a mare who’s 1/2 siblings are ALL stakes level

All previous horses have been sold.

FLYING FELINE, 2009 black broodmare, 16.0hh (created)
Multi-winning mare who did best after switching to hurdles.  She’s earned some pretty decent SF’s in her wins, and if you look solely at her steepechasing records, she was pretty consistant: from 11 starts, 2 wins, 2 places, 2 shows, 2 fourths.  She also managed to hit the board on the flat - her peak years were as a 3 and 4YO.  She has produced two lovely colts so far, which we have retained so far.  She is open for 2017, and can be bred to the stallion of your choice.
Asking: $10,000

Couldn’t resist
