I’d just like to announce that I am a proud momma of a brand new (real) TB filly. She was born on March 20th around 10am. She is by Klinsman, a son of Danehill and out of Marcia Mine, by Hagley’s Nest. At the moment she’s bay… but there’s a slight possibility she could grey out like her sire. I’ll post pics soon, things have been super crazy here. But I am happy to say that momma and baby are sound and healthy, and the wee one has already tried to rear up

Hey Shannon, you forgot to put that it was I she reared up on. She is an absolute cutie!!!
I think Shannon hit on a really great cross with this filly and I KNOW she will be in the Winner’s Circle in a couple of yrs.
Shannon also forgot to put that her Mom had to deliver the baby by herself, as I was a 1/2 hr away and couldn’t get there in time. Marcie had a little trouble but Mary handled it great and the baby finally came out like good thing.
She is so cute and it is always awesome to be there when the babies are born. It is something you never get tired of. Always euphoric feeling and makes you forget all your troubles for a little way while you watch the baby move around.

Yay babies! We have 4 at the farm I work at, about 10 left to foal out. I love watching foaling, it’s such an amazing experience.
