A very anticipated baby, his sire is well known, his damn wasn’t raced as a 3yo for some reason but in her 4yo season out of 4 starts was never less than 3rd place. She would have definitely made Ch if she had raced at 3, here’s hoping the pairing passes on the talent! They both ran equally well on turf and dirt, so this boy could do both or either!

With this being Highland Wizards last crop I’m hoping the talent proves consistent, he’s produced several winner/MSWs, this is her Dams first foal,She was a decent runner I retired her last Jan at age 6 to brood,her record was Lifetime,37(11)-3/3(1)/1(1)/7(4),$184,050,103  (several 5ths also) both were dirt runners so we should have another here.

Ty , they were both early and I just looked I am expecting 6 more this month then they spread out the rest of the season, thank goodness or I’ll go broke! Lol

Had a foal born early this morning, found her right after getting home from dropping my husband off at the airport for his year long tour in Korea ,while we stay here in Vegas , so her name is in honor of today.

I owned her l grand dam (still do) so bought her daughter when railbird dispersed to keep the line since it’s done well for me, and it appears she liked the turf.
As for her sire it looks like he was a turf monster and with her dam liking turf too I see why he paired them, with her height and her parents abilities, let’s hope she receives a little from them!

Sorry to hear about your hubby. My best to both of you. Your foal looks great though so yay for that. I like to name foals in memory of things happening too it’s neat when they actually make it to race day.

A year will feel like a long time today but in no time you’ll be saying where did the time go. Just think, when he’s back you’ll only have another a year for the filly to be old enough to race :stuck_out_tongue:

Came on to see if hub had emailed me and found Fools Gold decided to drop her foal in the hour I took to eat and do some things before bed, they always wait til you’re not around! Lol

This is his dams first foal but she has some pedigree behind her too, his dam was a multi placed winner on the track, his grandsire Was unraced but produced many winner/MSW’s and is (chef de race) and his grand dam Was unraced but produced so far 7 winners/MSW, and she was out of a great producer Tea Time who is (reine de course)

Fools Gold was off to see The Fighting Fifty for her 2017 foal.

Her sire was a nice runner ending up a chaser , I had him as stud for one season then sold him,I’m hoping the cross will produce another good chaser
Her dam didn’t do too well on the track and came to me already a broodmare, she showed no preference until they put her to chasing and she picked up, not sure what she might have done if not retired so early.

Little Miss Chrome Had a date with Cryptic Ballad for her 2017 foal, hoping for a big Chaser!
