got up this morning to check my barn as i had a baby due yesterday and made it in time to see my mare give birth to a cute little filly.
I named her
[color=purple] Heart’s Wish by WCh. As You Wish (S) out of Classic Black (this is her first foal) she’s Black with just a Star,& snip standing at a decent 9.2h.
I Love this line and she will be going back to visit him again for next yrs baby.

came on today to find a preemie had been born , both mother and baby are doing well thank goodness (tho they are both missing at the moment i reported the bug) shes a cute little thing, i bought her mother as i saw she was in foal to Doodles who is out of one of my best broodmares.He stands 17h and she is only 15.1 so she has a chance to be somewhere in the middle.

uhg i hate waiting my next foal isnt due until april 4th, then the rest thru the summer, its looking like a loooooooooong summer!!!
Yeah… After Jan/early Feb, my babies slow way down (i.e. 3/4 of my foals were born in Jan or Feb). I suppose that means I should stagger when I breed my mares, since the rest of the breeding season is just not as exciting.
