Injuried Mare?

Hi Shanthi,

I came across one from left field today, a mare that I claimed (6 year old) during her first start injuried herself (bowed tendon) after her 2nd start.

I thought seeing she was 6 I’d retire her to the breeding barn but worked out as she hadn’t had 10 starts she’s ineligible  :-\ Obviously by the rules she can’t be bred with but I don’t think the rules took into consideration 6 year old first starters!

Thoughts?

The game does allow you to override the 10 race rule, but only for a career ending injury (broken leg). Otherwise it’s kind of expected that you’ll run them 10 times before breeding.

I guess I’ll just have to rest her and bring her back for the remaining 8 starts. Not many make it back from bowed tendon’s though!
