I'm going to be a mom!

Can you believe it? I can’t!

I haven’t been overly active on the forums lately (dealing with morning sickness!), but I know the older members know me  This will be my fourth year of FF, and I don’t see myself quiting any time soon!

Anyways, after two years of marriage, my husband and I will be welcoming our first child in July! I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant and officially in my 2nd trimester. I’m waiting for the 2nd trimester “feel better” stage to kick in… nothing yet.

Just thinking about having a child that will grow up with the opportunity to be around horses just gives me the warm feelings! I’m so excited to be a mom, but so scared at the same time. It doesn’t feel real at all.

Congrats!  Are you going to learn the gender beforehand or will it be a surprise?

Yay! Congratulations!

We’ll definitely be finding out if it’s a boy or girl. I don’t have the patience to wait until July! I was hoping for a girl (think of all those cute riding outfits!), but I have a feeling its a boy… which is okay too

Congrats!!!

Either a boy or girl, you will be happy to share your life with horses.

Don’t worry about being a mom.  No one is perfect and watch and learn what other parents do. Then take what you like and do that. There is no perfect way to raise a baby.  As long the baby is happy, healthy and safe, you are doing GREAT!!

Good luck and we all can’t wait for pics!

Congratulations!

Congrats!!! Now I get to read your birth announcement on here-- hope everything goes very well for you and that your little one is very healthy and strong!

That’s wonderful! It makes me a little too happy that another child will grow up around horses. I’m growing up as close to horses as money will allow it and I absolutely love it. There’s nothing better in the world than being best friends with a horse.

Congratulations on the baby!  ;D

I wasn’t around horses until I was about 14. I started working at a barn cleaning stalls in exchange for the occasional riding lesson. My first horse was a free horse  ::) with all the problems of a free horse! My second horse, my mom still has. I sold my QH filly last spring, she would be 5 this year. Wow I can’t believe she’ll be 5… I got her when she was a yearling. I miss her, but money was tight. Anyways, my mom still has my old gelding, and another QH gelding (that may or may not be around long, he’s got some issues).

My mom wants to get a pony for her grandkids, much to my dad’s dismay! My baby will be the first on both sides, but my SIL is two months behind me. I’m so excited that our kids will be so close in age. I love it.

If it’s a girl, I just think about all those little riding cloths and outfits. The pony jumpers! I’m not sure if my husband would let me get away with dressing a boy up in English riding clothes… He said I wasn’t allowed to pressure the kids to ride, but if they enjoyed it then he was fine with that. So, we’ll see!

Congrats and good luck!
