How'd You Do? 2029

Foal auction is over and so many foals found new homes! Curious to see how everyone did!

We went in with a list and ended up with the winning bids for two of them.

Oliver Twist, yearling colt by Authentic, out of Royal Outlaw. Authentic has been doing great as a sire, so I really wanted another foal by him. Royal Outlaw is a silver ranked mare with a MSW foal, who’d her only foal not managed by FF. Curious to see how this guy will perform! $75,500

Happily Ever After, yearling colt by Nyquist, out of Ch. Storybrook Ending. Nyquist is another new sire with a strong first crop, so happy to add another foal of his to our string. Storybrook Ending only has one racing foal, but he’s a MSW. Looking forward to getting this guy on the track and he was a steal at $2,000

Only bought one foal.
View Horse: Marry Me Chunky, a dark grey yearling colt by Nyquist out of Silver-ranked Marry Me Larry. Until we bought him, we didn’t have any horses by Nyquist.

Kept the buying fairly minimal, as I am trying to sell/lower the number of horses I need to manage.

Costa de la Luz, yearling filly (California Chrome x Orbital)
Half to MSW GCh. Star Shine. Most of her half-siblings are FF owned so hard to tell how she’ll do, and we have very little California Chrome in the herd. Also wanted to snag one of his foals in case he’s voted out for 2026. $1,000.

Circus Act, yearling filly (Hogsmeade x Act Devoted - A.P. Indy)
Half to MSW GCh. Southern Act and two SPs. Realized I only own 1 Hogsmeade horse so wanted to grab someone new, and AP Indy has done well as a damsire. $1,000.

End of March, yearling colt (Authentic x End of an Affaire - Government Secret)
Half to SW Ch. Kalaipahoa. Authentic has been an excellent sire for us. Dam is half to Ch. Black Spiral, who has produced 5 MSW’s including our own stallion, Death Eater. Most expensive at $35,000.
