Well, we only have one foal this year because we bought a broodmare in foal, but he demanded to be introduced so he gets this sparkly post all to himself. We’re planning for a slightly more sizeable batch of foals in 2016, but not by much. I’m determined to stay small and simple here! (We’ll see how that goes… >:D)

2015 chestnut colt
Gunningdownromance x Little Nikita (by Government Secret)
Born January 30, 2015 at 8.3 hands
This colt - Little Nikita’s first - was born two days early, and both mom and foal are doing fine. His name comes from a line in Gunning Down Romance by Savage Garden. The colt bears a strong physical resemblance to his sire, and we are hopeful for his career on the track in two years’ time! Little Nikita is going to Dark Continent for her 2016 foal.

Just updating because I bought a second mare in foal earlier in the year - just couldn’t resist. She’s now two weeks overdue, and I think my poor (not-so) little colt needs a playmate. He’s driving his first-time mother a bit crazy. >:D
We are all hopeful that Delaware Market delivers her foal safely and soon - she’s as big as a house now and understandably getting rather irritable.
She’s here - fifteen days late, but well worth it!

2015 dapple grey filly
Take Me Away x Delaware Market (by Created)
Born April 17, 2015 at 10.2 hands
We can’t get over just how big this striking dappled filly is! Of course, Delaware Market kept her cooking in there long enough. Both the sire’s first crop and the dam’s first foal will be 2 year olds in 2016.
The name may change, I just couldn’t stand leaving her ‘Unnamed’ when she finally made her long-anticipated arrival.
