Everyone else probably knows this already, but the Chicago White Sox are finally going to the World Series! I find this very awesome. It’s actually a bittersweet sort of thing for me, because my dad really loved the White Sox and always wanted them to make it, and we would watch them play together while I was growing up (on TV, at least…I’ve never been to Chicago). He passed away when I was in college, though. I think this would have made him very happy.

Anyways, though…Yay White Sox. :slight_smile: You know who I’m going to root for now. :smiley:

My stepdad and my coworker are reluctant fans. (My stepdad grew up in Chicago, and my coworker lives there now.) They’re both Cubs fan, but they’ll opt for the Sox if there’s no other alternative. :wink:

It would be cool to see the White Sox win it all. They haven’t won since 1917 and Boston was 1918. Back to back Sox? Well, would be nice anyway.

I’m Chicago bred and raised. So we’re all happy here to see one of our teams actually DO something. lol I’m not normally a baseball fan (I find football more interesting, but the Bears stink), but its still exciting. Go White Sox!

I’m not really a huge baseball fan but I’ll root for them because I’ve been to Chicago once. I’m more of a football person and the Packers,er are not doing very well. :astonished:ops:

I am adding a belated woo hoo!! now that the Sox have won the Series. It was actually sort of an emotional thing for me, just because it brought back a lot of memories from growing up. Last night was a very happy night. It’s good to be a White Sox fan. :slight_smile:
