Very disappointing. Though at least that’s a valid reason

to end a career, but I know I was looking forward to him running. So few champs left to

cheer for…

That’s a shame, but yeah,

at least there is a valid reason. Is he a gelding?

They just retired one of Australia’s

best sprinters in England. Fastnet Rock was due to run at Royal Ascot at York [:P] and he

didn’t travel well so they aren’t bothering to race him back here as a 4YO. Personally I

think that sucks. He should have been fine to race in July in the July Cup over there.

Argh… Retiring 3YOs really gets on my nerves… :frowning:

Damn. Was bound to happen to

him of all horses though, all he does is have physical problems, that’s why he hasn’t been

raced all that much. At least he went out with a bang, his Met Mile was astounding.

No, he’s a stud. So yay

for that at least… would be worse to lose a gelding to an injury . Think he’s 5 though?

So that’s an old timer for over here

Yeah. I was excited to see

Congaree in the 2003 Breeders’ Cup as a 5yo, and he ran a couple times at age 6, too.

Oh yeah, I loved Congaree,

he was my Derby pick when he was in it(ended up 3rd). I was so glad to see him run year after

year! Wish they all did that!
