When you geld a horse, how long should he rest after the “op”?
I have a colt that I am shipping home for a three-week rest. I am planning to geld him when he gets back to the Farm.
My horses usually rest at the Farm for three weeks then are shipped to whichever track they are going to race at next then have a week to get acclimatized to the new surroundings.
Would this be enough time for him to recover from the “op” or should I give him longer?
