Wow, people got good prices on broodmares.  Even for the mixed auction, those are some low prices.  Nice that more people had a chance to buy breeding stock.

Nicely done…  I ADORE the stats…

Next set should be from the owners after they get say 5 races from their new horses.  See weather they “paid” for themselves.
See who spent the least but made the most.
Also, who spent the most and bought “flops”

Like in RL,  “The Green Monkey” bought at auction for like $16 million and had 3 starts and had 1 third and 2 fourths and is now retired to stud.  Big FLOP!!!  Gorgeous looking horse with awesome pedigree but couldn’t find his way out of wet paper sack to run.

this years statistics are not available yet, the auction is still ongoing. I often think it would be interesting to see how the bargains do as well as the super priced ones. May be worth starting a thread for each auction?

I always wondered what happened to him. At least he had a cool name. LOL

He has grown up gorgeous!!! He is already retired and will stand in 2009 for his 1st yr.  Hopefully his kids will do better than he did.

He was plagued with problems like minor injuries but still with his pedigree, he should have done something.

Oh well, another stud retired before he can prove his worthiness on the track ::)
