Two that I’ve noticed so far.
I just had the same message (while also bidding less then 100k), so here’s a screenshot:
Bid itself seems to go through fine, so maybe it’s just the message. I also wasn’t aware that in auctions with a max spending multiple people could bid the max amount and it would go down to a lottery, that’s really neat and makes it very fair! I always just thought the horse went to whoever bid 100k first, lol.
I’ve got another one.
The Authentic x Royal Outlaw colt shows on the auction page and my auction summary page shows my stable as the current winning bidder but if you click on the bidding summary page it’s actually got Gotopa with the highest bid. I think the bidding page is correct as I’ve already won a horse and I wouldn’t have enough to outbid @Leah - I suspect I may have matched her high bid but not managed to exceed it. On my auction high bid page, it’s showing my max bid on this horse as 0.
Like the Locheido Auction, horses sold were sold to Final Furlong but appear under Horses Won on our Auction Watch pages.
This post isn’t reporting a bug but is a question based on Leah’s post. It has been a while since we’ve had a FF Auction with a max spending limit so I’ve forgotten how it works.
I know that if more than one stable bids the max for a particular horse, there is a lottery to determine who wins the horse. What I don’t remember is when does the lottery take place? Is it 48 hours after when the most recent bid on that horse is placed or do we have to wait until the end of the auction for the lottery to take place?
In addition, if only one stable bids the max on a horse, do they have to wait until the end of the auction to get the horse or do they get it 48 hours after they placed their bid?
My recollection is that once the 48 hours has passed, the lottery takes place or, in the case of a single bidder, they are declared the winner, but wouldn’t swear to that being accurate.

I’ve moved my bids to other horses now, so fixing this would have a cascading effect to those bids as I’d be the one over 100k so that might complicate things. I’d understand if Shanthi leaves it as is.
I’m happy to go with whatever is easier for Shanthi to sort out too.
I think all the issues are sorted. Auto-setting the max bid is fixed. I adjusted all the current bids back down to 1k if they were the only bid. Horses whose sale time has been met have been sold.
Shanthi i just realised that all the horses I had successfully won at the auction are back in the auction for bidding. I think there were about 5 or so.

It’s not really a bug but I seemed to have gone over the $100k limit by accident. I still have the high bid on the below horse, but it reset the bidding clock and reduced my bid. It’s still going to be over my $100k total, so the bidding is kind of stuck in limbo. Not sure what needs to be done. If I get the horse cool, if not whatever.

I’ve got sort of the opposite of Willa: I’ve spent $77,500 on horses so I should still be able to bid up to $22,500. However, I can’t bid anymore. I get the message that I would go over spending limit:
I’ve tried several amounts (down to 12k because of the current bid), but it won’t go through. It’s okay if I don’t get the horse (I don’t really need more horses, but they’re too shiny to resist), but the system seems to think I’ve spend more than I have.
I’ve fixed this manually. I’ll need to look into the code that handles deleting bids when you’ve gone over limits.
This should be fixed.
