What new studs are entering stud for their freshman year in 2024? I’m starting to look at boys for my girls for next year.
Most likely Palermo. He’s had a rough 3yo season and I swapped him to SC out of desperation – most likely a mistake since there was no improvement. I may give him a couple starts next year, but if he still hates the jumps he’ll retire to the breeding shed.

Ooh yay! I already want to send Ch. Ophelia to him, as she’s producing turf sprinters but they’re very late bloomers!
Fun fact: there are currently 6 new horses qualified for stud:
Explosive Motif - confirmed to enter stud 2024
Ablative Armour - will continue racing
Fool to be Smokin’ - will continue racing
Hollywood Knight - will continue racing
Never Let Go - will continue racing
Palermo - possibly retire to stud for 2024

We have three of those and, at the moment, Explosive Motif is the only one we are definitely going to retire to stud.
A decision on the other two, Ablative Armour and Fool to be Smokin’ will not be made until the end of the year, once we’ve had a chance to evaluate their most recent performances.

Hollywood Knight and Never Let Go will continue to race next year unless they deteriorate performance wise
