Hi all,

I’m so sorry the server’s been flaky. I don’t think it’s an issue of server resources (though I’m happy to accept any help with the server costs - they run about $30/mo). It’s…something…that’s eating up all the memory on the server until I restart it. And I haven’t figured out what.

I’m going to try and set up an automatic restart, probably every 6 hours, to see if that at least makes things stable. Long-term the real solution is to replace the really bad code I wrote as a kid/young adult 25+ years ago with proper code. But as I’ve mentioned before, that takes time + energy (mostly energy) that I don’t have available right now.

The automatic server restart script seems to be working. Will see if that sorts out the memory issue as well. If nothing else, the server should hopefully only be down for a max of 6 hours going forward.
