The auto entry for FF claimers seems to be very eager. All 3 3yos in the 7/18 claiming race (Heavenly Edge, Copper Heart & Lavish Tiger) raced on 7/15 in the US and are now racing tomorrow 7/18 in Australia. It defies the in-game shipping timeline (it takes about 3 days transit from the east coast tracks), and I assume it is terrible for their energy/health. This turnaround seems like the shortest that they’ve had, but some of these horses have race 10x this year already and it’s only July–and it seems like the interval has been getting shorter throughout the year.
I’m pretty lax in the script that auto-enters FF horses because I’d rather they run on an insane schedule (they are owned by a robot, after all) than have races not be full.
e.g. they’re allowed to enter races if they have at least 70% energy, which is a C grade (if accurately assessed). As you say, they’re also allowed to auto-transport from track to track.
It does try to balance things by picking horses who have the fewest starts, and then the longest time since they raced, but obviously doesn’t always get it right.
