No problem. When I made my entries for yesterdays races, I manually made the changes for each horse I entered.

How are we all entering races at the moment?
Am I right in thinking we can’t do it from the new app? So it’s still in the old?
I seem to be struggling as the ‘summary’ button in the old app sends you to the new app, yet when I go to the training page the horses don’t have ‘up coming races’ which is what I predominately used when finding future races.
Am I missing something obvious?
At the moment between the server and me stumbling around blindly I’m not getting much done

I’m currently mainly entering last minute and just entering horses from the ‘enter races’ page. A lot of my scheduled entries aren’t showing up and I’m not sure if it’s because they were done before a change or if the new app is struggling with scheduled entries.
For a few horses that I’m aiming for a specific race for I’ve used the summary in the new app to see their energy level and workouts and stuff, but then used the racehorses page of my stable on the old app simultaneously to find their horse pages in the old app and enter them from the upcoming races section (still shows in the old app for me). It’s a bit of a workaround which is why I’m mainly just entering the upcoming race days from the ‘enter races’ page.

Ta Leah, that’s pretty much what I’m doing but it’s cumbersome.
At least in the old summary page you could filter via last race or location etc and click directly into the horse, that now takes you to the new app where the info you wanted isn’t there.
Searching the racehorses doesn’t let you filter.
I know it’s for the better but I’m struggling!
What sort of filter are you looking for? You can sort by last race by clicking on the column. You can filter by location by using the dropdown. (You can also sort by location by clicking on the column.)
And what info do you want? All the info that was on the old page is now on the new page (with the exception of upcoming foals, but that’s not relevant for racehorses.)
I know it’s not a seamless process to switch between the apps, but I am trying not to remove functionality.
I’m currently looking at energy and fitness on the new site, selecting the horse I want on the old site and finding a suitable upcoming race. If it’s a ‘future entry’ that’s not being picked up when the code runs for race entries then I use the future entries page on the old app home page to manually enter when race entries open.

Upcoming races.
I used to use this a lot but it’s gone from the old and I can’t find it in the new (yet) I’d love to see it extended past the 30 days of old too which would help planning immensely.
I hadn’t thought of that - good idea. I did wonder why I only had 1 or so out to race and this probably explains it.
That’s not info, that’s a feature. And as I’ve said, I’m currently working on it.
You can see the upcoming race on the training summary, and I’m hoping by next week it’ll be live in the new app.

It’s a bit of a workaround, but upcoming races is still available in the old app. It’s got races that a horse is not eligible for mixed in these days unfortunately (so age and surface don’t always match), but you can still enter horse there and they show up under ‘next race’ in the new app. The only problem I encounter is that these entries don’t always transfer so sometimes they’re not entered. Since we can still filter them in the new app, I’m gonna start checking my entries a few days before the race so I can re-enter when necessary.
It’s absolutely more work then usually, but at least this way you can plan entries further ahead than just the coming few race days. And it’s temporary and probably still less work than everything Shanthi is doing behind the scenes, lol.

Yeah I just did that this morning as I realised none of my forward entries turned up to race.
On the positive I think the server has been playing fairly nice and allowing me more than 5 mins at a time!
FYI there was a bug in the race running code that was re-setting all the experience/happiness for horses + jockeys. That should be fixed now, so you should see much better ratings for your horse/jockey combinations now.
