Expectations

Maryanne walked towards the

KA trailer carrying horses she had bought from a recent auction. When she got closer she

could here whinnying coming from inside. As Cindy ran to help, Maryanne lowered the ramp.

“Who do we want to get out first?” asked Cindy. "Probably Wegotthekey, she looks the calmest,

then we can deal with the other three." As they unloaded the chestnut filly More Than High

danced in his stall. “You better get that colt before he hurts himself!” Cindy said, noting

the horse’s nervous behavior. "Well, if you want me to take him, you take her to the paddock

with Princess(Ready Set Go). While Cindy took care of Wendy(my nickname for Wegotthekey)

Maryanne finished unloading the other horses.

More Than High stepped daintily out of

the trailer, giving a sharp ear-blasting whinny. “That’s enough, we know you’re here!”

Maryanne giggled “I think I’ll call you Prince, you sure act like it.” Prince shook his

elegant head, as if to retort. When a groom came to take Prince to the empty east Paddock

Maryanne started to uload her pride and glory Wonder’s Theory. The pretty chestnut weanling

was scared to death. Despite her 17.1 h. height she was as timid as a mouse. Maryanne had

instantly fallen in love with the filly, and hoped she would be happy.

Maryanne

personally escorted Miracle(no clue why this is her name) to her new sstall. Then she went

back to get Distinguished. The small yearling galloped down the ramp, pulling Maryanne after

him as he dashed towards the paddock where Princess and Wendy were grazing. when the little

colt finally stopped to nuzzle Princess(who he has a crush on ) he got a long lecture about

the rules of the barn, and the consequences if he didn’t obey. So about after an hour of

mischief and dragging him back to the barn Distinguished was safely confined to a stall.
As

Maryanne gazed at the horses eating contetdly, she thought of what lies ahead. All of her

racers were showing promise, and what every new day would bring. She laughed when a groom

tried to get Dissy. Nothing was going to be the same. Which, was a good thing.

gasp We have to horses

with the nickname of Prince running around that act like princes! ahhhhhhhhhh…lol, Tripped

Too Fast doesn’t mind…I think.

 Those big show

off’s. Prince actually has two nicknames. Prince and High Guy. He definatly lives up to his

name.

If we put them in the same

race( :astonished: ), what would happen? Both prancing around, tails high and both trying to rule the

place? Things would get confusing…

Yeah. That would be a recipe

for disaster. Hopefully with a little work Prince will be under control. I’d better make

sure there are no fillies in his races though. <_<

Yes, but if the filly was

winning, he’d be trying to catch up to her! Though instead of listening to the jockey,

he’d be all, “Hey, how about a date at my stall? Tommorow, after noon workouts?”

Oh yeah, did I mention

Prince has a girlfriend. Princess is totally crushing on him.

Dissy is going to be so heartbroken.

gasp Is he cheating?

Naughty boy! :stuck_out_tongue:

Maryanne ran to the trailer

that was waiting outside. Greg and Cindy huffed and puffed to catch up to her. "You two need

to get in shape!" Maryanne giggled. Jacky ran to lower the ramp. Everyone looked curiosly

into the trailer. 'Who’d you get?" Greg and Cindy asked in unison. "There’s NCH. Gone

Haywire, who will be going to the stallion barn. And Go Go Girl our first permanent

broodmare, who has a stakes placed foal. and there’s Ch. Formal Cigar." Maryanne exclaimed

proudly. “Well we better get these lovely horses settled in!” Cindy commanded.

Maryanne cantered across the fields on her saddlebred show mare Calloways Kiss & Tell.

the pretty bay mare snorted with glee as they passed the stallion barn. Gone Haywire gave a

big bugle in response. “Don’t even think about it.” Maryanne retorted. When Callie was put

up Maryanne went to check on the new arrivals. Gone Haywire stuck his head over the stall

door and dropped the mouthful of hay he had onto her head. “Stop that!” Maryanne scolded. But

Goober(Gone Haywire) just pranced around his stall and whinnied with glee  . "Looks

like he’s settled in." Maryanne muttered.

When she walked into the broodmare barn

she was welcomed with a big, slobbery, kiss from Dissy. Miracle wasn’t quite so happy to see

her. 'Come here sweetie." Maryanne crooned, “It’s okay, come on.” Miracle slowly made her

way to the front of the stall and daintily lipped up the carrot Maryanne had in her hand.

Miracle clearly enjoyed the attention she was getting(or she liked the carrot  ) adn

begged for more. "Sorry sweet thing, I’ve got to give the others some attention, I’ll be

back later." Gina(Go Go Girl) gently whickered. The calm mare nuzzled Maryanne. Missy(river

of Dreams) gave a warm welcome. I’ll finish this later.

Hehe, my 7th/8th grade

English teacher called people goobers. I see the name fits a National Champion stud, too!
