I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and finally got around to it - ran 43 ponies yesterday and figured it would take as long to write this script as it would to write up those horses’ results!
There’s now a link on the results popup from your stable alerts called “Formatted list for forum post” - it will spit out the results for your horses grouped by finish (win/place/show/fourth/fifth/also rans). It colour-codes gender, displays age/sire, and the finish position for also rans.
If you copy/paste that into a forum post and click Preview you’ll see what it looks like.
In the rewrite I’ll make this fancier with custom settings/styles/etc, but hopefully this will help the bigger stables who might want to post their results on the forum but don’t want to spend forever formatting things.
Just an idea; could it also add the titles that our horses have? I think many of us include that in the forum posts, for sure me and Lewis. I like to mention that my champion is a champion
I’ve added horse titles and made the headings (win/place/etc) bold. Lewis, I’m not keen on underline so feel free to add that yourself for your posts if you like.
Nice! I’m not a big fan of “all caps” so that looks better. Another thing if you have plenty of time as we also tend to do it - to list horses that ran in the same race in one sentence…? I guess it might be more complicated to code… For example, I had Pintoresca (2nd) in one race with Barcelona (5th), Faichan Kangri ran in the same claimer as Lady Orlando (10th and 13th), and Chucheria and Caballa ran in the same allowance (5th and 7th). It was fun to see especially in the big series, when for example Stafish horses ran 1-2-3 in a Breeder’s stakes
