Unfortunately we had our first stillborn this morning early. As the grooms were doing the midnight rounds in the foaling barn they noticed Inxs was down and thrashing. I got the call from the barn and was up calling the vet, he was on his way and the grooms had calmed Inxs nd got her standing. She was covered with sweat and it was plain to see the foal was a breech. When the vet got here he quickly went to work. After another hour of labor the vet decided the foal was no longer alive. I’ll spare the gory details.
Inxs is a little depressed and resting. We rubbed her down with burlap and gave her a hot mash.

This colt was quite large and a flaming red chestnut like his mother.
Inxs will rest and spend time out to pasture being a horse. She will return to Sponsored for a repeat breeding.
