Do you have to nominate your horses before you’re able to enter your horse in the Kentucky Derby (and any other race listed for nomination), or can you use earnings and stakes wins to get into the field?
I apologize if this question has already been answered.
You need to nominate your horses for the Derby. It’s a lot cheaper if you do it as a 2 yo, but you can still nominate them up to 30 days before the Derby. That’s pretty much the way it works for all of the non BC/BS races that require nominations.
Well I’m confused because apparently I have to nominate to get a horse into the JCGC and I didn’t know that when I entered [color=blue]Leave A Note in earlier this year. While he didn’t win it he was still able to run in it.
