2nd foal for SW Easy Living, who was bred on lease and goes back to Whisperwood. Siesta means “nap” and I felt it was fitting for a mare named Easy Living.

Well, I’m just glad our trend of coming early did not hit till the beginning of the year. None of our foals have come on their due date, but all have been early. Still waiting on the ones that are being lazy. Our massive 10.2hh colt is a week early, can’t imagine how big he’d be if he was on time or late!

Big filly from big momma Inca Queen! I’m glad I bred her to Long Live the King since he was retired this year. Inca Queen was a steeplechase mare, and Long Live the King did well over fences so I’m hoping its a good cross.
Inca Queen will be bred to our of our stallions but I haven’t decided who yet.

Massive colt and first foal for Torchbearer. Funny story about his name. I was handicapping and I saw a horse named Fighting Scorpion and I thought it had said Fighting Spoon and was very disappointed to find this not to be lolol I texted Shelbie (her and I are good friends IRL) and she was like yeah you need to name a horse that. I had been super stuck on a name for this one so I just went with it. Who knows if I’ll actually keep it, but it works for now hahah
Torchbearer heads to Devil’s Walk next.
