Until the end of January, I will be traveling to Richmond each week for work. This will mean that either:
I am insanely bored in the evenings so I will be online a lot, and (hopefully) coding a lot, etc
I am still at work after 12 hours and have no energy to think, let alone desire to stare at a computer any longer
I have tons of free time and am using it in a fun and exciting manner (right…)
I have tons of free time but the hotel internet is being screwy so I’m not online
Depending on which scenario(s) is/are most common, you’ll either see a lot of me or hardly anything at all.
I’m still hoping to get race code done by the end of the year, but now that my 2-week vacation isn’t happening, that may not be as likely. However, it will happen ASAP, I won’t delay until 2011 or anything.
I can’t login to AIM from the work site (grr…firewalls…), but I can get to the FF chat, so I’ll probably be on that most weekday evenings (my work shift is 3pm-midnight EST). Feel free to say hi. (Note: can’t promise I’ll be at my computer/available to chat, obviously, but so far things have been pretty slow…)
Just as a random note of interest (to me, anyway )…our “goal” is to get through 10 test scripts per day, which is roughly one every 45min. It’s only 10:30 (with 1 1/2 more hours to go), and I’ve gone through 17. Of course, some of those weren’t remotely successful, but at least now we officially know that.
Now, if that could warrant my leaving work 1 1/2 hours early, that’d be awesome. Sadly, I doubt it works that way.
Yep, 3pm to midnight, Monday-Friday. I could’ve chosen 7am-4pm, but at least with the late shift I can head to the barn on Monday mornings before I drive up to Richmond…on the morning shift the best I’d be able to do is get home by 7pm on Friday night, and that doesn’t really work with horses in winter.
Not that I understand any of the transcript stuff that you are talking about but I do understand long hours (or at least late ones). How do you even have time to run FF?
Work is deadly boring so far, and despite the fact that they have yet to keep any (let alone all) of us busy for a 9-hour shift, they want us to work Saturdays starting on the 16th. Blech.
