Our first foals of the year were born today
The first is [color=blue]Beyond Magic Dark Grey Colt. Hogsmeade x Beyond Time. he is bred as a steeplechase horse as both parents were SC specialists.
Sadly our other foal, a filly, (Lord Nelson x Highland Joy) had a difficult birth and died within the hour. Mum is recovering well and the vet says she will be fine in a few days.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that our other foals will all be born safely!

Better news today. Ch Mary Hill has just delivered a lovely 9.1hh Dark bay colt. [color=blue]Braeriach by GCh. Edinburgh x Ch. Mary Hill. He looks exactly like his sire, Dark bay with no white at all. Mary has just one foal racing, Ch. Fool on the Hill with another 2yo, Archangel, waiting in the wings. Braeriach is the 3rd highest mountain in the British Isles. I would love to see these two boys follow in their sisters footseps.

My most anticipated foal has arrived safe and sound 
[color=blue] Jester 9.3h dark Bay Colt FFCh. Foolhardy x NCh. Best Queen. Heres hoping some of the ability of his parents has been passed on! Not sure I’ll keep the name though.
Best Queen’s first foal Drumroll, is due to race this year but still looks a little immature at the moment.
Now I just need to decide who she’ll visit next, there are so many good sires available I can’t make up my mind. Anybody like to suggest their boy?

Sadly our retired broodmare [color=red]Ch Sailor Venus (Planet Hollywood x Play Time) was found dead in her box yesterday, the vet says natural causes. She was 19 years old and had borne 13 foals, all her racing foals have won. Four have been SW and MSW.

Well Finally!
Our mare [color=red]Ch. Frostbite (Whirlaway x Backwards Image) finally presented us with a sturdy foal a full month late! [color=blue]Heart of Ice is a 9.0hh grey colt by GCh. Ace of Hearts (ICh. Highland Magic)
We have had a renaming of one previous foal from [color=red]April’s Fool to [color=red]Wild Fool 9.2 grey filly FFCh. Foolhardy x Wild Highland.
As we had a foal actually born on April Fool’s day It seemed more fitting that the new filly be given the name so the new [color=red]April’s Fool is a 9.1hh brown filly by FFCh. High Chances x Ch. Undebatable. Apart from a small change in colour she looks very like her dam and with one platinum, three gold and two silver ranked ancestors it’s hoped she won’t be a fool on the track
