Well, unfortunately, we had one kiddo show up a day early.

Both parents were champions on dirt, which the barn is short on to date.  Moon Eclipse’s first foal will run this year.  This girl won’t start until 2023.

Little lady is the first foal on the ground for Pharoah and third for her mom.  Mom’s first kid starts this year.

Hopefully another dirt specialist.  Go For Broke’s first foal to survive.  His name is from the curling terminology list.

Mom’s first foal (a colt by Demand the Best) is a winner.  Her name is a reference to the runes used by the dwarves in The Hobbit (on Thorin’s map).

Our largest foal of the year (so far).  This is So She Sleeps’s first foal.  Planning to start her over the jumps when she’s 3.

Yesterday, we lost a colt (Blame x Sorcha - Irish River).  Sorcha has visited Frosted, but will likely return to Blame for next year if he’s still on the roster.

He’s Tothemoonandback’s second foal.  Couldn’t resist his name, since I’ll be traveling that road myself come March - only I doubt it’ll be so rocky these days.  Rocky arrived yesterday.

Loving all these greys.  The name Shield Maiden was already taken, but Lagertha is both one of my favorite characters from the show Vikings and a warrior of legend.  Mom was MSP and I’m a big fan of Highland Pride anywhere in my barn.

This kid took a little longer to brew (he was the overdue mentioned in the last post), and was one of four boys who arrived on 1/30.  We already have a MSW daughter of Carrowmore, so couldn’t resist another try.  This was Refinement’s first foal.

Eridanos.  Mom (Finally, thanks to her 3yo figuring out where the wire is) has 5 winners from 5 to race.  She’d be even more of a favorite if she’d start throwing a few more fillies (she’s 1 for 8 so far).

The last 3 days saw the arrival of 6 babies and the loss of one.

A colt (GCh. Venture His Due x Fairy War) was still born.  Mom is revisiting the same sire.
