Little bit behind on this (been too busy looking through everyone else’s posts!), but here are the kids so far:

Dad is producing relatively well so far.  Mom’s first foal hits the track this season (whenever he grows a little more…still a shrimp at 14.1h).

French Ruby is out of a mare of mine who ended her career as a broodmare with a Gold rating, so I couldn’t pass up a chance at sending a few mares his way.  Folk Music’s first foal is 2 this year, but likely won’t race until 2019 thanks to her SC-heavy bloodlines.  “Cabrette” is French for little goat, but it is also the name of a type of bagpipes used in the playing of French folk music.

Very excited to see this boy run in two years.  His name is the fight song of the US Naval Academy.  Trick Me Once, leased from MCR, was stakes placed on both turf and dirt, and brings a little more Foolhardy into our barn following Pay the Boatman’s success on the track.

Bonnie Jean is part of the title of a song from one of my favorite musicals, Brigadoon (I’ll Go Home With Bonnie Jean) and is also the name of the mother of one of my best friends.  Bonnie K’s first foal races in 2019.

All the names I first thought of were taken, but this one still fits.  I took a lot of Calculus.  :/  Should be a dirt horse, that’s fine by me since I’ve gotten overloaded on the turfers.

The foaling barn is a busy one this year.  At least one mare is overdue and she’s lost a foal before, so there’s some concern, but we’re happy to announce these three new additions:
