Coleman Branch 2015 Studbook

For the first time ever, Coleman Branch has the opportunity to advertise a stallion and we’re very excited.  Though our boy stood briefly last year, he went unnanounced.  He will be represented by 8 foals in 2015.  That said, we are pleased to introduce:

NCh. Mr. Prospective
Dark Bay with Blaze
16.0h
Mr. Prospector (S) x Time Out (G, createxcreate)
Lifetime Earnings: $1,696,000

Breeding Information

  • Sire is a Chef-de-Race and has produced 5 MSW of 71% winners.
  • Mr. Prospective is 1/2 to: GCh. North By Northwest, GCh. Rainbow Time, and 4 Ch.-ranked horses, including a 2yo.
  • Mr. Prospector has only one other son at stud (Smart Strike), so Mr. Prospective would be a nice outcross for a great number of mares.

Stakes Record

  • Wins: Queensland Derby (G1), Del Mar Breeders’ Cup Handicap (G2), Dwyer Stakes (G2), Kindergarden Stakes (G3), Historic Stakes (G3), and the Victoria Handicap (G3)
  • Places: Australian Derby (G1)
  • Shows: Caulfield Stakes (G1), Epsom Handicap (G1), Spectacular Bid Breeders’ Stakes (G1), St. George Stakes (G2), Feltex R.N. Irwin Stakes (G3), and the Swale Stakes (G3)
  • Ungraded: Star De Naskra Stakes (1st), Hirsch Jacobs Stakes (3rd)

Race Information

  • Raced over Dirt, Turf, and SC.  The majority of his earnings came on the grass, though he did very well (earning $500k and winning 3 stakes) on the dirt.
  • Had 3 good seasons of racing (age 2-4).
  • His greatest earnings came at distances over 10f, though he performed most reliably at Classic lengths.  He won 3 stakes over Sprint courses.
  • Looks to pass on an 8 in the Intermediate category.

He will most likely be nominated for the Breeder’s Cup.  His stud fee will be $5,000.

As of this moment, I’m not taking reservations, but he will be available without them.

Black Storm West plans to send one his way next season

SunStar is also sending a mare his way this season.

Can I get the Feb 2A slot of Mr. Prospective for Swirling Silver.

Thanks,

Myles
