Macker Mundhir means something like “bloke Mundhir”. Not sure if this is exactly correct in German.

Ireland’s 2yo colt, [color=blue]Insenso has already reached his minimal height so he’ll start some training after his birthday, which is end of March. Ireland will be bred to Al Mundhir.

Thank you! Iyaiyai won me a book just recently; there was a contest where people were asked how they would name their imaginary island, so I proposed Iyaiyai and told it’s story, and I got a book about Spitsbergen - very well written reportage.
What’s the story on Iyaiyai again? I get them all confused… Very cool that it won you a book, though!
Iyaiyai is named after a fossil fly. The name for the species was created by Neal Evenhuis, who is an American entomologist, known both for his research and peculiar names he gave to species. So I wrote that it was really nice of him to give the newly discovered fly a pretty name, even though he knew that it was already extinct. And, the question was to name an island “somewhere in the far North”, where, I suppose, things like extinct fossil flies can be found. Although I don’t know where Evenhuis discovered Iyaiyai.
