changing status to Broodmare- location?

Hi,

Fairly new member here 6 months or so. Having my first go at breeding this season. I have changed a couple of race mares to broodmares but i am wondering where there location is? Does it remain at the last place they raced or do they automatically get sent to the farm?

i.e retired my mare to broodmare in Australia (last race). My farm is near Belmont, I have booked her to an Aussie stallion but when i check her page it says location at my farm. Does that mean i now have to pay to have her shipped back to Aus to breed?

So, yes, you’ll have to pay to ship her back to Australia.
