BS Qualifier Bugs

I was looking through the BS Qualifier lists and noticed a few weird things with several rankings:

4yo+ Dirt has Super Beach as #1 but he’s unplaced this year.

4yo+ Mares Dirt has multiple issues: Super Saucy is ranked #1 but is unplaced this year, Race to Victory is #2 but is unplaced, Street of Fools is #4 but is unplaced.

4yo+ Mares Turf lists Sassy Fool as #2 but she’s unplaced.

These were just a few I randomly clicked on and found. All are listed with multiple SW’s in the BS rankings lists. To add to the weirdness I just realized these are all Starfish horses. I didn’t look at every single division and its horses.

My recollection is that we always get some kind of hiccup when the Qualifier Lists (both BC and BS) are first put out. I think that Shanthi usually finds that the system is including the previous years records for some of the horses. Another common occurence is that horses may be included in these lists who aren’t even racing anymore, either they’ve died or been retired. It usually takes Shanthi a couple of times of rerunning the code to get the non-qualifeid horses off the lists.
