I am leasing a broodmare and the lease ends on 1/24 of next year. If I breed her now and the due date comes up after the lease ends will I get the foal or will it go back to the stable whom I am leasing the mare from?
The foal is yours. I asked Shanthi about this as a broodmare I have on lease from her is due to go back about a month before the foal is due. She told me the foal should arrive in my stable when it is born. I also think there was an earlier post about exactly this and the reply was the same. Can’t remember when the post was though, you might want to search for it!
