I was riding my horse today, just like I normally do and we went across the street to a big feild where I can trot him for a while. When I passed this house that normally has dogs in the front yard he spooked and I got dumped. The dogs were in the house and just as I was going by the dogs came tearing out of the house barking and chasing at my horse. So after I fell off I got back on my horse and we did are workout, then I took him back to the barn and gave him a bath and did his legs up in alchool bandages. I went up to the house to get ready to go to the races and my ankle really started to hurt, but I just ignored. I walked up the steps got changed and then went to Delaware Park to watch our friends horse race. When we got there we watched him and then decided to stay for a few more races. My ankle was really hurting by then. So I told my dada and he took me to the hospital. After about 10 X-rays I went into another room and got a bootie on it because it is broken. So that means no riding for 8 weeks, I think I will die!

sorry to hear that i had something similar happen to me , except i was doing an emergency dismount and the horses hoof came up and snapped a metatarsal bone in the top of my left foot. Boy do they swell up fast!!!
only bad thing was i worked in a shoe store and had to hide behind the counter because i couldnt wear the product…hahahahah.
