🚫 Breeding due dates changed

I was checking the due dates for all of our mares who have not yet foaled this year and noticed that all of their due dates have changed from what was noted when they were originally bred. While some of their dates have only changed by a day or two, many of them have changed by more than a week, including a couple of them whose dates have changed by almost a month.

I have already mapped out which of my mares were going to be bred to which stallion and when, based on their original due dates and am now going to have to review these breeding plans.

I had mentioned this to Shanthi, and she said the current due dates are the “new” due dates after all the code updates.

The actual foaling dates haven’t changed, but for any mares who had no due date it took the foaling date and added +/- 35 days randomly to calculate the replacement due date. This could lead to a month’s change in due date if the original due date calculation was -35 days and the new one was +35 days.
