Well, those wonderful two days have come at last…I have to work both days, unfortunately, but hopefully there will be replays for me to watch by the time I get home, either on the BC site or Youtube.
My favorites are: Dream Rush in the F&M Sprint, High Finance in the Dirt Mile, Unbridled Belle in the Distaff, Red Rocks in the Turf, and Street Sense in the Classic.
Good luck to anyone who’s actually betting on the races…I have some money thrown down, and I guess we’ll see soon if I threw it away.
And of course here’s hoping that all the horses and jockeys stay safe on that sloppy sloppy track…
Yay! Corinthian won the BC Dirt Mile! I couldn’t be happier, I’ve loved this horse since he was an outlaw of a three-year-old. So glad to see his owners bring him back as a four-year-old despite his injury as a 3yo. Very happy for Jimmy Jerkens…no trainer deserved this win more than him. What a nice classy guy.
And for the cherry on top he thrashed Discreet Cat…mwuahaha. I hate DC, don’t ask me why I just do. I never thought he was THAT great. Yea I know it was a muddy track and yadda yadda…it doesn’t change the fact that he LOST! And even Garrett admitted that DC had no excuse.
I thought it was neat how the former claimer Maryfield won the F&M Sprint-too bad it was probably her last start since she’s going to the Keenland November breeding stock sale-I’d like to see more of her.
