I can’t decide whether to nominate and run my 2yo filly, [color=red]Fights Just Begun. She had a hot streak of 1s and 2s at the stakes level in September, but in her last two races, she’s run 3rd and 4th. She’s ranked 2nd in the fillies’ dirt race, and 1st in the fillies’ turf race. Given that her last two races have been over dirt, I’m leaning toward entering her in the turf race, but I’m not sure - it’s a lot of money!
If you can afford to enter and not win, then by all means enter. If entering is going to make things difficult for you financially, take advantage of the fact that the stakes just before and after BC will probably be a little light in terms of entries.

Question: I want to enter Ducati into the BC Classic. He’s currently #17 on the qualifiers list, which won’t change now of course. Since Starfish has said they are not running 3 of their horses listed in the top fourteen for that race, that would guarantee Ducati a spot as #14 (or lower, depending on other qualifiers’ entries). Can I go ahead and enter him now, or should I still wait til Monday?
In an earlier post, Shanthi had warned about owners changing their minds at the last minute with regard to scratches, however, Saucy Magician (5), Hogwarts (6) & Flight of Silk (9) are definitely not running in the Classic, so I would think it is OK to go ahead and enter Ducati.
