Bad Boy Will

I lost contact with the horse world the year before I started university because of work/school etc. Last summer I managed to get in contact with an old boarder from my old stable who is the pharmacist in my home town and got out to her new barn to catch up, see her old horses who I would ride for her when she couldn’t, and reconnect a little. Her daughter had a mare, Princess, who had had three foals at my old stable. One, Henry, still lives with the woman and is I believe four now and working under saddle. He was always a little timid so it was decided to not send him to the track for training. His older brother and sister however were much more competitive and started spending a week here and there at Woodbine when they were younger. The woman had co-owned all three foals with my barn owner and somewhere along the line she mentioned that she had sold them/signed them over to my barn owner (much more involved in racing then her) and had lost contact with where they were.

So I’ve been looking on and off to try and find out what happened to them for interest sake. The older filly, Tilley, was a bit of a terror as a yearling. Most of the kids at the barn couldn’t handle her. William, the middle colt, was a very nice, friendly colt and a handful but not as quick to anger as Tilley. I wasn’t sure of their registered names so I was flying blind for a bit but I did happen to find out what happened to William (and it’s good!).

I did some more searching and his record is 6–5-1-0-0 at Fort Erie which is awesome. He’s obviously gone through a claimer and is under new ownership but it made me happy that he’s doing well

I found his pedigree here: pedigreequery.com/bad+boy+will

And I thought I’d share and as a bonus I have some pretty pictures! These were taking one day when Tilley was a yearling, William was around six or seven months and just weaned, Princess was pregnant with Henry and obviously before I went to university. There are a few other photos thrown in there, as well as some of me riding (none of which are good because I really only rode for fun and not for form).

I just stumbled on this post when I was shuffling around the forum.  i think it is so cool that you were able to find the where abouts of this guy.  I love trying to find where my horses are now, though, I have lost touch with two of them.  Tilley sure is a pretty girl I would snag her up for some hunter stuff.  If I ever came across her.
