Home from our last European vacation, had a pretty good time, completely exhausted! Got to see the Spanish Riding School where the famous Lippizaner horses are, got to see a 2hr workout session then the stables,arena and tack room. I got face to nose with a couple of the horses in the stable you could tell the ones that wanted attention ,but we couldnt touch.Anyway a 36yr old dream came true! The horses are not that big and they actually match the size of horses to the riders,there are 19 riders (2 of which are now female as of 2008)and 72 performing horses each rider gets 3-9 horses depending on his/her position. They have rotations of several that travel around the world to perform ,which I got to see in 91 . So I have now seen a troup perform and the holy grail at the royal academy. I wish we could have stayed for the real performance on the weekend but it was sold-out weeks in advance. So if anyone plans to go make sure to go online and book or get into the line for tickets before you go! You will love it! Carole 
They didn’t allow photos as it freaks the horses out,but I have 2 books, post cards, and a calendar to scan and post for everyone to see.
