Auction Question

In the Black Storm Auction, I have a bid on one horse, Princess Crown, with a Max Bid of $100,000. This is how the bidding stands currently:-

The Auction Page says that the auction for this horse will end “In about 22 hours”, which would be based on the time that the most recent bid was placed. The current bid is still less than my Max so, under the old system, the time remaining should still be based on the time of my original bid.

The new system resets the clock when more bidding happens.

Okay. Understood. I was just confused because I knew that the time wouldn’t have been reset in the old system.

I do have a potential bug to report on this, however. In the image I posted at the start of this thread, you will see that there are buttons to specify if you want to be notified if you are outbid, however, it is very difficult to see which button is to say Yes, you want to be notified or No, you don’t. I think that I had specified that I did want to be notified (the lower button???), however I wasn’t notified. Can the labels beside these two buttons be made clearer, please.

Fixed. That must have been one of the first forms I made in the new app, because it bears no resemblance to the rest of the forms. :person_facepalming:

I also toned down the red/blue/green in the pedigree colours for the light themes, they seemed a bit in-your-face.

Shanthi, this one is no biggy but something for the future, in the auction it’s impossible when looking to see if a horse has been switched to jumping.

Currently I need to open up and scroll to the bottom to see it’s last start, or click horse, click races, click stats, click distance or surface to find out.

Is there a way to highlight on the race record (different colour, italics etc) that would be easy to identify at a glance?

Not that would be obvious (without having to put explanations everywhere saying that “if you see a race record in italics it means a jumper”), but I can add an icon for F/SC

Also FYI this is an in-app notification. It will look like this:

Previously I think it was an email, but I’m trying to cut down on the number of email notifications that go out because the free plans don’t give you much.

OK, I’ve added coloured icons (just on the auction page, as a trial). I can’t decide if I like them or loathe them.

Also the Black Storm auction page is now super slow to load, so I may have to insert…womp womp…pagination.

You may have to as it’s not playing nice at the moment

Pagination is in, and no clicking. :tada:

Give a shout if anything looks weird, but it should just load the horses as you scroll.

I’m still getting the horses head error.

Everything else on the site seems :ok_hand:

Should be fixed. :crossed_fingers:

When I try to look at the different auctions to get a summary of which horses I’m bidding on/have bid on, I can only see the Black Storm auction (see below). It doesn’t give me the option to view the May FF Auction as well.

I’m trying to bid on Like A Villain, but get the 500 - internal server error screen when I click on the view horse button that brings you to the bidding screen.

This page: Final Furlong

I assume it fixed itself as you bought the horse?

Should be fixed.

I was the successful bidder on the Unnamed (Powerful Soul x Westerly) weanling filly in the May 2026 Final Furlong Auction, however, when I go to her page to try to name her, this is what I see:-

It is still showing her as owned by Final Furlong and her Status shows her as still being consigned to the auction, even though her specific auction ended almost 24 hours ago:-

Question on auctions in general: will we be able to consign to FF auctions (like the old 2yo, youngstock, and mixed sales) or are all future FF auctions these mini monthly ones for FF-horses only? Just curious.

Fixed. You could tell the sale hadn’t processed because she was listed under the “Pending” tab in the auction.

The monthly ones should be open to consign to, but also the regular ones will be.
