Slowly, slowly recovering money from the Select Auction, haha. I need to find some US stakes races for these 2yo’s!
13-4-1-3-1 $90,100
WINS
[color=blue]Johann Bach (2yo, Gotta Go) in his NW2 by 5 lengths. He’s now won 2 of his 3 turf starts.
[color=blue]Divine Comedy (2yo, Double Cross) in his NW3 by 3-1/2 lengths. He’s undefeated in 2 starts.
[color=red]Diamond Etched (2yo, Bellagio) in her NW3.
[color=blue]Smoked Out (3yo, Rumor Has It) in his OA by 3 lengths.
2NDs
[color=blue]Pillage n’ Plunder (3yo, Crystal Rainbow) in his NW1.
3RDs
[color=red]Lotus (2yo, Ring of Fire) in her NW1.
[color=red]Exclusively (2yo, Unabridged) in her NW2.
[color=blue]Possessed Chai (2yo, TakeMeToHollywood) in his NW2.
4THs
[color=red]Little Black Dress (4yo, Bellagio) in her OA.
Wins [color=red]G.Ch. Flying High, (4yo, What’s Debatable) in the G3 Floral Park. Her 3rd win in her last 4 starts. [color=blue]El Padrino (Leased from Clicker Lab), (2yo, Foolhardy) in the G3 Skyline Stakes. His 3rd consecutive win after finishing 2nd in his first race. [color=blue]Ch. Clowning Around, (3yo, Foolhardy) in an OA. His 2nd win in his 3 races in our colors (he was 2nd in his other race). [color=red]Frosted Flame, (2yo, TakeMeToHollywood) in an OA. She now has a 1st and a 2nd in her 2 races. Hopefully, it won’t take her as long to recover after this race as it took her to recover from her first race (nearly 3 months). [color=red]Ch. Speak Your Piece, (4yo, Spock) in an OA. After winning her first race for the year, she went off the boil, so it was nice to see her back in the winners enclosure. A change of equipment seemed to have had a positive effect.
Seconds [color=red]Written Statement, (2yo, Golden Text) in the G3 Sweet Embrace Stakes.
Thirds [color=red]1st Day of Summer, (2yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in an OA. She obviously has a case of third-itis, her 3rd race and the 3rd time she has finished 3rd.
Fourths [color=red]Keepyourspiritsup, (6yo, Jazz It Up) in the G3 Canterbury Cup. [color=red]Girl in Flight, (2yo, Major’s Flight) in an NW3.
Sent 7 out, with 5 finishing in the top 3. Not bad for my rusty (fat?) ponies…
WINS
[color=red]Magic Feather (5yo, Must Be Magic) won her OA, earning a blazing speed factor of 253. There were three crazy speed factors today, or has the script changed?
[color=blue]Blue Ballad (3yo, The Fighting Fifty) won his NW1, earning the speed factor of 265.
[color=red]All Lit Up (3yo, Magic Cross) won her maiden race. All three winners today come from strong damlines and were purchased for that reason, so I’m happy to see them figuring it out.

[color=red]Rocky Affair (4yo, Rock of Gibraltar) was 3rd in her NW2.
[color=blue]GCh. War Chest (5yo, War Chant) finished 3rd in the G3 Canterbury Cup. He now needs just a single stakes place to become stud qualified, even despite my poor efforts in the last year to get him there.
Super busy this weekend we checked results late - and were very shocked and excited to see how we did!
1(1)-1(1)-0-0-0 $150,000
[color=blue]Venture His Due (5yo, Devil His Due) in his first race with us, the Gr. 1 Joe Aitcheson. We weren’t sure how he would perform but were very thrilled with his performance! Our biggest win in Blackhawk’s newbie career. We’re very excited!
Congratulations on Venture’s win. As I mentioned in my post on 9/12, he obviously liked the change is scenery.
Congratulations on him also becoming Stud-Qualified. I’m sure it isn’t often a new stable gets to buy a horse so close to being qualified and then gets him qualified in his first race.
I had been trying for a while to get him the last SW he needed, but would have sold him even if he had got it.
Good luck with him and, when you do Retire him, I’ll probably send a mare or two to him.
