Nice day - everyone came home with a paycheck.

WINS:
[color=blue]Certain Death (2yo, Ring of Fire) in a maiden.

[color=blue]Whatchagonnado (4yo, Giant’s Causeway) in the Man O’War Stakes. Not the entry we thought would win, but no complaints.

[color=blue]Bravado (2yo, Foolhardy) in the Black Opal Stakes. He’s now a multiple stakes winner. :slight_smile:

PLACES:
[color=blue]Usain Bolt (4yo, Strider) in the Canterbury Stakes.

SHOWS:
[color=blue]It’s A Deal (2yo, Rock of Gibraltar) in a NW2.

FIFTHS:
[color=red]Imperious (2yo, ) in a maiden.

[color=blue]Epic Proportions (3yo, Giant’s Causeway) in the Man O’War Stakes.

5 starters today.

The one horse I was sure would win (and so were the punters) came in third.  (Indy’s Slew)

It’s okay, though, cuz last week I noticed one of the stakes horses I had another entry in the race with was for sale.  So I figured, what the heck!  And bought her.  She came in second.  I’m laughing all the way to the bank with that one.  She paid herself off and then some.  (Miss Livewire).  My other horse in that stakes came in 4th.

The other two tanked. No paychecks.

A much better day than Saturday. 5 wins, including 1 G1W and 1 SW. Only 3 runners off the board and one of them still brought home a paycheck by finishing 5th.

12(7)-5(2)-2(2)-1-1 $528,850

Only two youngsters out:

Highlight of the day was City on a Hill’s win. Two more stakes wins until studification!

Given I mostly had 2yo’s running, the so-so day is to be expected!
