9/4 Updates

Bidding in auctions now works.

You can also adjust your max bid if you are currently the high bidder. You can adjust it up or down, provided it matches the current rules for bidding (e.g. bids have to be in $500 increments, etc.)

Nice. That will be useful if you’re bidding in an Auction with a fixed $ limit (e.g the Annual Auctions).

For example:-
The Auction has a limit of 5 horses and $100k. You have submitted bids for 4 horses at $25k each, but then, while these 4 Auctions are still going on, you find another horse you want. You now have the ability to lower your max bid on the four horses to $20k each which will leave you with $20k to bid on number 5.

Or, in the above example, you are high bidder for 3 of the horses you’ve bid on at $1k with (say) 6 hours left in their Auctions, however, somebody has outbid you for the 4th horse. You can lower your bids on the first 3 horses to $15k each, which will give you an additional $40k to bid on number 4.

A win-win situation for all (except for the poor stable who you outbid because you created space under the $ limit and were able to up your bid on number 4!!!)

I hadn’t really thought of that, Lewis. I setup the code to allow you to adjust the max bid and then got lazy about making sure you only moved it up. So, bonus feature!
