9/28

Only 4 out but everyone hit the board!

[color=red]Tiara Tango (3yo, High on Love) ran 2nd/6 in her SA.

[color=blue]Hypnotic (3yo, Must Be Magic) was 3rd/7 in his OA.

[color=red]Ominous Sky (2yo, War Chant) finished 4th/7 in her NW1.
[color=blue]Stressful Reality (2yo, Stressed) ran 4th/10 in the Ungr.  Bertram F. Bongard Stakes.

Only one out today.

[color=red]Half Moon Bay (3yo Take Me Away) won her starter allowance. This is her 5th win in 6 races this year although mainly at this level. Think we have to be brave and go for an OA next.

Good day here - helped to earn back some of my Select Auction spending!

9(2)-2(1)-6(1)-0-0 $121,000

[color=blue]Triomphe (5yo, Magic Glory) ran 1st in the G2 Challenge Stakes. He’ll stay in Australia for some upcoming sprints.

[color=blue]Forest Guardian (3yo, Oscillation) ran 1st in his NW2 over jumps.  Been waiting a while for that NW2 win.  Stablemate [color=red]Whinny Pearl (3yo, Octogonal) ran 2nd in the same race, her first race after being switched to steeplechase.

[color=red]Fights Just Begun (2yo, Rahy) ran 2nd in the Ung. Joseph A. Gimma.  She’s had a demanding race schedule in the past month, with 4 races on the past 4 Saturdays, and is being shipped home for a well-deserved couple weeks off.

[color=red]Marys Grace (3yo, Created) ran 2nd in a NW2 over jumps.

[color=red]Pisa No Macallan (4yo, Giant’s Causeway) ran 2nd in an OA, the first sign since I bought her that she doesn’t just want to hang out in the pasture for the rest of the year before I retire her to the breeding shed.

[color=red]Secret Morning (2yo, Government Secret) ran 2nd in a maiden race behind Nightcross, a lovely filly who quickly surpassed my bidding range in the select auction. Congrats on her win, Cricket Hill!

[color=blue]So Naive (3yo, Gunningdownromance) ran 2nd in an NW3.

Also ran: [color=red]Indy Angela (4yo, AP Indy) in an NW3.  She struggles with consistency, but could also probably use some rest at the home farm.

Only 5 runners out today. Even with that, we had 2 wins (both SW) and 2 seconds and only 1 out of the money.

5(3)-2(2)-2(1)-0-0 $724,000

I only sent 4 out, and none were in stakes (for once):

4 - 2 - 1 - 0 - 0

WINS

[color=red]Ch. Coquette (3yo, Bellagio) won her OA, taking a little break from stakes company.

[color=red]Get Shorty (6yo, Planet Hollywood) proves she’s still got it, winning her starter allowance.  She’s still probably going to retire in the spring, but it’s nice to see her do well leading up to that.

PLACES

[color=blue]Ch. Allinvain (4yo, Worth My While) was 2nd in his OA, also taking a break from stakes company.

OFF THE BOARD

GCh. Afterglow (5yo, Affirmed) continues to balk at the thought of earning her last 3 points to NCh (grr!) with a 5th in her OA.
