She won two of the three legs of the Canadian Fillies Triple Crown, finishing second to stable companion G.Ch. Saucy Magician in the other leg. Ch. Unbridled Run, (4yo, WCh. Strider x Unbridled Passion) 9/11 in the G1 Whitney Handicap at Saratoga.

Very small outing today with just two runners.

Candied Roses (3yo, What’s Your Point) was 2nd/6 in his OA SC debut.

Also-ran: Back At Ya[/color[ (2yo, Secretary) was 6th/10 in his NW2.

Mood Indigo (3yo, All Jazzed Up) finished 1st in a NW2 allowance over jumps.  Stablemate Forest Guardian (3yo, Oscillation) finished 2nd in the same race.  I try to avoid entering horses in the same race, because usually one seems to push the other out of the money, but when they finish 1-2 I can’t complain!

Crosspoint (4yo, Point Given) finished dead last in a field of 14 in her first OA.  I’m not sure what happened, given that she’s been consistently successful in NW1s-NW3s, with an overall race record of 13-3-4-3-1.  Hoping her next time out she’s back to her old self!

9(4) - 3(1) - 1(1) - 2(1) - 2

WINS

Rahndezvous (2yo, Rahy) won his NW3, breaking his maiden finally.

Time For Belles (5yo, Slew O’Scots), half sister to our boy, Witness, won her NW2.  This is her second win in a row (having never run before age 5).

Ch. War Chest (3yo, War Chant) became the shocker of the day, winning the G1 Futurity Stakes against the likes of Usain Bolt.  I considered not entering him due to this fact, but I didn’t ever expect a win!  This boy remains undefeated, and this is his second stakes win.  He’s definitely one to watch out for!

PLACES

Nicole’s Majic (3yo, A.P. Indy) was second in the G3 Rancho Bernardo Handicap.  She has placeitis bad, but she’s never been out of the top three in stakes company.

SHOWS

Mostro (2yo, Spock) was third in his NW1.  He’s a tricky one to figure out.

Ch. Singsong (3yo, Rahy) was third in the G3 Singapore Plate.  She’s another consistent stakes filly who has also never been out of the top three in stakes company.  I love the way my future broodmare band is shaping up!

FOURTHS

Laudri (3yo, Point Given) was fourth in his OA.

Copycat (2yo, Mr. Prospective) was fourth in his maiden race.

OFF THE BOARD

GCh. Afterglow (5yo, Affirmed) finished 8th in the very competitive G1 Personal Ensign Handicap.  I’m hoping to at least get her the last 24 points needed for an NCh. title before retiring her in the spring, but secretly, I’m hoping she will perk up and show me that she’d rather keep running.
