Racing How'd You Do?

Well, at least the stakes ponies did well:

WINS

[color=red]Spin The Bottle (2yo, The Fighting Fifty) won her maiden race, her first attempt.  Her 3yo 1/2 sister is a stakes winner, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this wasn’t a fluke.

PLACES

[color=red]Ch. Nicole’s Majic (3yo, A.P. Indy) was second in the G2 Palomar Handicap.  She loves playing bridesmaid.

[color=blue]Ch. War Chest (3yo, War Chant) was second (by a nose) in the G1 Canterbury Guineas.

OFF THE BOARD

Vive le Roi (2yo, Long Live The King) was 8th in his maiden, his first start.  He was bred to be a hurdler, but here’s hoping we can get him going on the flat first.
Harrison Ford (4yo, Witness) was 9th in his OA after a break at the farm.  It was shorter than his preferred distances.

3yo [color=red]Akasha won her steeplechase open allowance.

4yo [color=blue]GCh. Al Mundhir finished 2nd/10 in Gr. 1 Secret of Love Stakes, which brings him one step closer to studification. Yay!

2yo [color=blue]Aguirre finished 2nd/10 in Gr. 1 Hopeful Stakes, in which his stablemate [color=blue]Zimbardo was 3rd.

2yo [color=red]Estrella del Alba finished 3rd/11 in a maiden for 2yo fillies.

Another very good day, with 5 more SW, including wins in 4 out of the 5 G1 races. Only one of our 10 runners today finished off the board. All 3 of our 2yo runners out today won their races.

[color=blue]Ch. Venture His Due, (3yo, ICh. Devil His Due x Risky Venture) 1/10 in the G1 Canterbury Guineas in Australia. His 2nd SW to go along with 3 2nds in 6 starts this year. He earned his “Ch” title with this race.
[color=red]Sargasso, (2yo, ICh. Spock x Secret Signal) 1/10 in the G1 Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga. Her 2nd consecutive win and 1st SW.
[color=blue]Golden Idol, (2yo, NCh. Golden Text x Coco Diablo) 1/10 in the G1 Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga. His 4th consecutive win and 1st SW.
[color=blue]Golden Miracle, (2yo, NCh. Golden Text x Miraculous Love) 1/10 in an NW3 at Arlington.

[color=red]Ch. Devil’s Flight, (3yo, GCh. Major’s Flight x Coco Diablo) 2/10 in the G2 Del Mar Derby at Del Mar. Her 3rd consecutive runner-up placing and 4th in her last 5 starts. She earned her “Ch” title with this race.
