7/4

My 2yo’s are doing really nice it seems :slight_smile:

[color=blue]Gold Tic (Point Given (S) - Flash Photography (S) came 1st/14 in his first race. Yay!
[color=red]Hadriana (NCh. The Fighting Fifty (B) - Fleet Queen) was 4th/14 in her first race, for 2yo fillies.

[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh was 2nd in a steeplechase, [color=red]Lacune was 3rd in another steeplechase, and [color=red]Your Chant was 3rd in an open allowance for 3yo’s. [color=blue]Click and Play finished 5th/14 in another maiden.

So-so day for us. Sent out 9; here are our highlights:

[color=blue]War Letters (Nightflight) won his debut against a full field. I love his dam, so this made me happy.
[color=blue]Breakfast in Bed (Harvard Bound) ran 3rd/14 in his debut.
[color=blue]Bandwagon (King David) was 4th/14 in his debut.

[color=blue]A Knight’s Tale has now crushed his last two races and won his NW3 against 5 others; I have to find him a stakes race.

Excellent day. Sent out 2, brought home 3.

[color=red]Drumline (3YO by Jazz It Up) ran 2nd/12 in an open allowance against colts. Another 3YO Jazz It Up filly won the race, so I thought that was a cool coincidence.
[color=green]Polaris (4YO by Highland Pride) came back from his rest in good form, running 1st/6 in an open allowance SC in England.

I also claimed [color=green]Cloudwalker, a 4YO light grey created gelding, for $5k. He won his claimer and will get a little rest at home before running again. I’m hoping for another nice, solid gelding with his head screwed on straight who can help pad my bank account a little, and I think he’ll be able to do that for me. :slight_smile:

Got a few wins today.  Super happy. :slight_smile:

WINS:

[color=blue]Hopes Wish (As You Wish) - Great debut for this 17.1H colt. :slight_smile:
[color=blue]Fight The Twilight (Nightfight) - Our lease from Ivy Creek. Even more excited now!
[color=blue]Darknight (Nightfight) - Slow starter for a Nightfight foal but he’s still truckin at 3yo. :slight_smile:

PLACES:

[color=red]Phillis (Foolhardy) - Nice debut for this filly.
[color=green]Johnny Rio - Old guy keeps rackin it in.
[color=red]Set For Ireland - good finish in maiden grade race.

SHOWS:

[color=red]Shadow Play (Nightfight) - Nice finish in the Star Shoot Stakes.  This was her stakes debut.
[color=green]Seaing Grey  - He surprised us in the Fire Plug Stakes with this finish.  Hope he keeps it up. :slight_smile:

Glad he did well for you.  A turf race to boot! :slight_smile:

5 out, 4 in the money.

3yo [color=red]Rebel Yell 1st NW1 SC for fillies. Broke her maiden on her first try over jumps  :slight_smile:

3yo [color=blue]More Than Magic 2nd  NW2 SC, touched off by a nose with the first two finishing well clear of the rest of the field.

2yo [color=red]Redheaded Princess (Boldness Shows) 2nd NW1 2yo F turf. Not bad for her first start.

3yo [color=red]Sleep Easy 4th OA for F/M, probably a bit above her level at this stage.

2yo [color=red]Half Moon Bay 9th 2yo F NW2 turf. Maybe a bit too soon for her.

In good news - congrats with Fight The Twilight, Holly!  I’m so relieved to see him look so promising for you (and start to earn back his lease fee for you).  :slight_smile:

Apparently my ponies were on strike today - even those who are typically consistant were in on the plot.

Sent 10 out, and the best we managed was a single 4th and two 5ths…  Seriously?

4YO leased mare, [color=red]Kissing Point (x Point Given) brought home the 4th in her NW2.  Of course it would be a lease to best out own ponies.  ::)  But I’m glad to see her making improvements

3YO [color=red]Aunt Pearl (x Rahy) was 5th in her NW1, with stablemate [color=red]Always Ladylike (x Giant’s Causeway) following in 6th.  Our other 3YOs to run - Starseeker (x Starz N’ Stripes - 8th), D’lightful (x High Chances - 11th), A.P. Stoli (x Stressed - 11th) also all refused to run.  I’m having a heck of a time figuring out this crop of babies.  I really, really hope that the 2YO crop fares better - next race day has me on edge.

5YO [color=green]Secret Surprise (x A.P. Indy) finished 5th in his claimer, with stablemate [color=green]O Lordy tailing far behind in 8th.  That’s very unlike these boys…

The only ones I am willing to forgive are 3YO [color=blue]Cuchulain (x Irish River) and 4YO [color=blue]Irish Muldoon (x Danzig), who were both thrown into stakes races before I felt they were ready, due to lack of suitable races (and a whole lot of hope).  Irish Muldoon finished way at the back, but Cuchulain finished a decent 6th in the G3 Carbine Club Stakes - not bad for a very unprepared colt.

Nice day - almost half our ponies came home winners, and only 4 out of 20 were worse than 4th.

Wins:
[color=red]Chasingromance (Gunningdownromance) appreciated more distance with a win in her second lifetime race.

[color=blue]No Contest (No Duplicate) in a NW2.

[color=red]Gift of Gold (Giant’s Causeway), 2yo 1/2 sister to MSWs Doc Hollywood, Spoils of War, and Clockstopper.

[color=red]Bright Naiad (Irish River) in a NW3.

[color=red]Gotta Triumph (Gotta Go), 2yo 1/2 sister to SP Exultation.

[color=red]Scotland’s Glory (Highland Laird) in a claimer. Best of luck to RC Bee with her!

[color=blue]Raven’s Glory (Magic Glory) in a NW2.

[color=red]On Angel’s Wings (Slew O’Scots) in a NW3.

Places:
[color=blue]Lovemeorleaveme (Alley Cat), 2yo 1/2 brother to MSW Ancient Legend and SWs Outlander and Improvise.

[color=red]Hemisphere (Octagonal), 2yo filly who’s the first foal of her MSW dam.

[color=blue]Into The Light (Strike It Rich), still flirting with winning a race.

[color=blue]Fly Away Home (Irish River), 1/2 brother to MSW Millennium Falcon and SP Reafan.

[color=blue]Robin Goodfellow in an allowance.

Shows:
[color=red]Millennium Star (Rock of Gibraltar), 2yo filly who’s the first foal of her MSW dam.

[color=blue]Macbeth (Prince of Wonder), 1/2 brother to SW Euphoria.

4th:
[color=red]Evensong (War Chant) in the Fire Plug Stakes.

Also congrats to our stallions’ babies:
[color=blue]Gunningdownromance’s daughter [color=red]Gunningdownlove won the Federico Tesio Stakes.

[color=blue]Ring of Fire’s daughter [color=red]Graceful Flames won her allowance.
[color=blue]Ring of Fire’s 2yo daughter [color=red]Ring of Magic was 3rd in a NW2.

Sent out 12 and only 1 didn’t win any money! Finally a decent day!

Ok day, we had our first few 2yos out to play

2yos
Criminal Secret (Foolhardy) ran 2nd in a 2yo NW3 allowance. Pretty pleased with that!

I’m Not Alone (A.P. Indy) ran 3rd in a 2yo maiden for fillies, not disappointed with that at all! Pretty happy that the first 2 2yos I sent out were both top 3 :slight_smile:

3yo+
Olivine (As You Wish) ran 4th in an allowance. We tried some new equipment on him, he wasn’t really a fan

Hishi Natalie (Boldness Shows) ran 6th/10 in a NW2 allowance. We tried a (slightly!) longer distance, I dont think she was a fan
